Forget About 02:59
Gained three hours on the way to Vegas Lost forty dollars in the first twenty minutes Fell for five people by the third margarita Everybody warned me but I'm gonna keep spinning Friday I wanted to live forever Saturday night had me feeling less clever I came to forget about myself I came to forget about the time spent falling and the time spent waiting Sunday tables Do you think we could break even I came to forget about myself I came to forget about Pineapple tequila had me hitting on sixteen and trading up tables from the regular haunts We skipped Katy Perry at the Hilton for Alter Ego over on Fremont And when I hear that sound Cutting through solid ground I'm gonna punch the closest wall The place was alright but the feeling was just so it was just so Friday I wanted to live forever... Half of the things that you see you don't look at And most of your hail marys fail I stuck with the group played the game with some scruples But plenty of recklessness too and now I really want a cocktail

The Rockies 04:00
I think these are the Rockies But they could be something else I think you're thinking about me I'm trusting in time to tell I packed for the weekend Forgot the trip went through Monday I looked down on the clouds I was over the clouds The feeling was new and strange One lone bird in the sky Didn't see me of course But hit with such force One more problem I tried leaving behind Back on the concourse Light blue turns to dark And the sun shines blinding off the cloud below us I highly recommend it Some are believers in a cosmic reason But the notion is unknown to me It seems closer to poetry And I think you might say the same or at least might agree One lone bird in the sky I've never been so high I've never been so high I've never been so high for once in my journey or so sure that my life was a prize worth the earning I've never been so high One lone bird in the sky.

Abandon me Expat from Sandusky Who could you possibly be Dropping Benji's with us creeps "Can I get you a drink" Said the waitress every twenty minutes But I Wanna get you a drink For real I lost what I won Should have cashed out should have run back home But that's not the point That's not the story that we'll tell the folks "what did you find there?" My hear was a motor And my hands became bolder I looked around me and over both shoulders "what did you see?" Only gods and high rollers Never mind you should stay We'll hit Binyon's and be on our way I got a voucher and I gotta get paid So I can throw it away I've never felt so anonymous You win a hand, I wanna steal a kiss Do you ever look at what's before you and wonder where exactly you've been "What did you find there?" My heart was a motor And my hands became bolder I looked around me and over both shoulders "What did you see?" Only gods and high rollers.

Trapeze act Is over Got me down Got me bad When they fly like that and they twist like that Where'd you say you're staying at? Do you wanna pretend that we just bought the Circus Circus? Do you wanna pretend that this whole place belongs to us? Don't stop We're on a hot streak Billionaire Babes Makin' money we don't need Reckless Love could be good for us Replace the min. bet table with a heart shaped bed Aquariums with lionfish Waitresses with them angelwings Do you wanna pretend that we're never going back to Ohio? We bought some land, put up three hotels The Venus, The Saturn, and The Mercury Don't stop we're on a hot streak I was hung up back home and I wanted to move on but I didn't think I could You were hanging out all alone looking like you knew love would do you good I know you're from back east But the way you kiss is wild west 100% When we claim this untamed bed with Reckless Love Don't stop we're on a hot streak.

Right past the Strat, we saw it on the way back It's the Chapel of the Bells Bail Bond Businesses Strip Clubs Dispensaries and then the Chapel of the Bells I never knew that I always wanted to get married in Las Vegas and I've always been lucky but I didn't think that I would be lucky enough to find you, Darling When I think about you there ain't no need to pretend Starting today, I'm gonna love you off the deep end Take me to the Chapel of the Bells Take me take me take me right now We could buy a cheap ring and then pawn it off on Chumlee All I need is baby to know that you love me Take me to the Chapel of the Bells We could get a reservation, be together forever before twelve Now I know good love can get you high And you've only known me two and a half nights But see: I've got this Marriage license in one hand And your hand in the other And I just got off the phone with my mom and my dad and my brother I told them, "when I think about you there ain't no need to pretend" Am I a wise man? Am I a fool? For how tenderly, I love you

about

Inspired by a trip to Las Vegas, these songs reflect my experience with the city, as well as my first time on an airplane (which somehow didn't happen till I was 26). They also tell a little story that probably did not happen.
