Madlib

from Bonkers by Blue Radio

/

lyrics

I sent a letter derived from a Madlib.
But you were feeling pretty sad still, this morning.
I been satisfied
and gratified
and ratified
and petrified
before.
But not like today.

I never thanked you for all of your wisecracks.
I can be like a racetrack with no checkered flag.
because I made you crash
and I went too fast
and I acted brash
and I have a rash
on my shoulder
Cuz you left me out all day.

Please forgive me for acting like I was more than I really was.
Sometimes my confidence soars
and it leaves your sore.
Which brings it back down again.
I guess I act like a clown every now and then.

I rode a horse to your graduation.
and a graduated cylinder couldn't measure my temptation
to tell you all my thoughts
I wanna go for walks
I wanna gaze at clouds and point out hawks
but I kept my mouth shut just for once.

Please forgive me for all these feelings that
never made it out of my head.
Sometimes my confidence shakes
and I make mistakes
every now and then
It always brings me back down again.
